What separates me from other coaches, is my attention to detail. In a session with me, I will have you run through a number of drills that will help me assess your body type, your running form, your strengths and your weaknesses. From there I customize the workouts to create a solid foundation. Then we shift focus to increase your speed, acceleration and reaction time.
In 30 years of coaching, Roger has coached numerous state champions in the sprints and jumps but his primary focus has been on distance training and developing complete athletes physically, mentally, emotionally and competitively. Setting and achieving high goals with personal integrity, long-term development, proper technique, work ethic, commitment and high expectations are the cornerstones of Coach Bristow’s coaching/training philosophy. He has coached at a number of Southern Arizona high schools and is also a member of the Anasazi Training Camp coaching staff held each summer in Pinetop, Arizona. Roger competed as a walk-on track and cross country athlete at Black Hills State College in Spearfish, South Dakota from 1980-84.
